“The pandemic has presented us with many challenges, and how we continue to develop football and wider sporting intelligence has been key," says Angus McNab, the club's CEO/President & GM.

“The last year has interrupted player and coach development and we wanted to find a way to continue to assist all our fans and the wider football community, hence the Digital Academy: an intelligence hub where we can also present our fans with various offers and promotions from our partners too."

Wingers Ijah Halley and Max Ferrari both have experience of PlayerTech and feel the courses helped them immeasurably in gaining a better understanding of the intricacies of their respective positions.

"It really helped me understand the role I have," Halley says.

"And not only in the Canadian Premier League but also at the highest level of football. It showed me what is expected of me as a winger in terms of movement, goal production and assists which I never thought was major before. It really gave me a clear vision of what is required of me."

"The PlayerTech course helped me understand more about my position and what I had to do more of to be effective," says Ferrari.
