De Rosario scored a goal in three consecutive matches to tie Pacific FC's Alejandro Díaz and Valour FC's Moses Dyer at the summit of the CPL top-scorers table.
Argentine midfielder Mateo Hernandez had a debut to remember [against HFX] when he received a red card in his first outing for the club coming off the bench. Cedric Toussaint was also sent-off in the recent draw with Atletico Ottawa, though an initial three-game ban was reduced to one on appeal.
Elsewhere, injuries restricted Max Ferrari and Michael Petrasso to just two appearances.
With five points on the board from a possible twelve, Gaffer Martin Nash insists his players were competitive and blamed ill-luck for some points dropped.
"I think we've been a little bit unlucky, to be honest, because the first game we didn't deserve to lose, we didn't get some calls," Nash said.
"I think [against Atletico Ottawa] is another one. It's a game that we were in control of for most of it and gifted them some goals, in my opinion. Poor defending on the first one and in transition and then an absolute gift on the second one. I think they had two shots and two goals. I can't remember another shot of note they had."
"But, I think we're doing well. We're not giving many chances away. I'd like to see us create more, like we did last week. I think we've got a good team and if we keep at it and keep working hard, we're gonna be a really good team."
There are five games to come in the month of May, which starts with the 905 Derby with Hamilton-based Forge FC this Friday night.
This will be followed by three consecutive away matches beginning with a trip to the capital to face Atlético Ottawa in the Canadian Championship, followed by league assignments against Valour FC and defending champions Pacific FC.
Nash's team will end the month with a home clash against Cavalry FC.
